September 25 marks the 10th anniversary of the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the UN’s global agenda for fair and balanced development.

Grupo Ramón García’s parent company, Carpintería Ramón García,  is a signatory to the UN Global Compact, helping to integrate its principles into the Group’s strategy and operations.

To mark the anniversary, we have joined the UN’s international campaign by displaying the SDG flag, a symbolic gesture that highlights our commitment to the 2030 Agenda.

Our commitment to the SDGs translates into concrete and measurable actions, generating impact in three key areas:

Environmental sustainability

  • ISO 14001 certification in Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
  • Chain of Custody certifications that guarantee the responsible sourcing of the wood we use.
  • Solar panels installed at the Ordes plant, supporting the use of renewable energy.
  • Installation of water fountains at the company’s facilities, supporting the reduction of single-use plastics and encouraging healthy habits.
  • The internal ‘Comparte coche’ (‘Share a Ride’) program, launched in 2025, encourages carpooling among employees and helps reduce transport-related emissions.
  • Campaigns promoting responsible energy use in offices and internal initiatives to raise environmental awareness among employees.

Well-being and human development

  • Food and toy drives in collaboration with local associations.
  • Health and prevention programs, including a workshop on Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and the campaign ‘Adiós Tabaco, Hola #SALUD’ [‘Goodbye Tobacco, Hello #HEALTH’].
  • Hosting of Dual Vocational Training (FP Dual) program interns, as well as organizing visits and talks with students to strengthen ties between the company and the education sector.

Community engagement

  • Sponsorship of local sports teams to encourage sporting activity and strengthen community life.
  • Collaboration in innovation and inclusion initiatives linked to the Galician business community.

These are just some of the initiatives we’re undertaking in sustainable development.

On this anniversary, we reaffirm our commitment to advancing the SDGs through verifiable and transparent actions, convinced that a fairer and more responsible future can only be achieved through collective effort.
