Commitment to responsibility: Our sustainable vision

United for change: United NationsGlobal Pact

Our parent company, Carpintería Ramón García, S.A., joined the United Nations Global Compact in 2014.

This ethical commitment initiative aims for entities in all countries to incorporate the 10 principles of conduct and action regarding Human Rights, Labor, Environment, and Anti-Corruption into their strategies and operations.

Our ethical, social, environmental, and economic responsibilities are formally supported by this international commitment.

COMMITMENT

The well-being of people: Our priority

Building a more sustainable world begins with safeguarding people.

We promote positive values and implement measures in our daily operations to ensure this protection. Among the formal measures, the following actions stand out:

Regulatory compliance program: Fostering integrity

At Grupo Ramón García, we embrace an unwavering commitment to:

  • The protection of people and human rights.
  • Strict compliance with the law.
  • Ethic conduct in all aspects of our operations.

Accountability Channel

We aim to promote transparency and responsible conduct in all our relationships.

To achieve this, we encourage our employees, suppliers, clients, and other stakeholders to collaborate with us in detecting and preventing irregularities or non-compliance.

The ownership and management of this channel are handled by an external and independent entity, ensuring security and confidentiality in every communication.

I want to report irresponsable behaviour at:

Code of Conduct and Compliance Committee

We operate under a Code of Conduct that surpasses minimum expectations, upholding high standards to guarantee ethical and regulatory compliance.

Our core values in every action are:

01
Responsibility in the performance of assigned tasks
02
Creativity and proposal of ideas to improve or innovate
03
Continuous improvement and advancement in a competitive global market
04
Professionalism to achieve efficiency and quality
05
Integrity in labor, commercial, and business relations
06
Respect to foster an adequate work environment
07
Equal treatment and opportunities for women and men
08
Development and wealth creation in the areas where we operate

To assure the strict adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Compliance Program, the Compliance Committee is established.

Our corporate culture is built on diversity, respect, and collaboration

The personal, professional, and social wealth brought by the union of people from diverse backgrounds has defined us since our beginnings, when in 1984 our founding partner, María Gómez Mosquera, embarked on the joinery business in a traditionally male-dominated sector.

At our parent company, Carpintería Ramón García, S.A., women make up 60% of the Board of Directors. Through this leadership, we promote a collaborative and inclusive workplace that values diversity. Our approach is rooted in our Code of Conduct and reinforced through a range of initiatives, including:

  • Team-building activities: We organize events, internal celebrations, contests, and other initiatives that foster stronger connections among team members.
  • Annual employee satisfaction survey: This allows us to identify strengths and areas for improvement, and to evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives aimed at enhancing well-being and internal satisfaction.
  • Internal communication channel: Accessible to the entire team, this platform promotes the flow of information, team cohesion, and the reinforcement of core values and best practices.

At Grupo Ramón García, we uphold an active commitment that goes beyond mere regulatory compliance, protecting people and reducing the impact of our operations through actions designed to leave a positive imprint on our community.

We support charitable initiatives and collaborate with a variety of social projects and leading non-profit organisations, contributing to culture, sport and health.

Our facilities include photovoltaic self-consumption systems and charging points for electric vehicles.

In 2025, as part of our ongoing social commitment, we are partnering with Fundación Stop Leucemia (Health) and organisations such as F.C. Visantoña de Mesía and A.C. Ordes (Sports and Local Community Support).

Environmental commitment

Sustainability and environmental care: A practical approach

We transform Grupo Ramón García's environmental commitment into concrete actions that minimise the impact of our operations.

To achieve this, we have strengthened our commitment to the Circular Economy, structuring our initiatives around the following management principles:

Redesign

For projects that require it, we apply eco-design criteria validated by our Eco-Design Management ISO 14006:2020 certification, ensuring:

Environmental criteria are incorporated from the design stage through to end of life.

Environmental impacts are identified and minimised.

Continuous improvement and greater environmental efficiency.

Transparent information on the environmental improvements made.

Reduce

We have lowered our electricity consumption by installing photovoltaic panels at our Ordes facility and implementing LED lighting and presence detectors in both factories.

• Energy and CO₂: since adopting solar energy in 2021, we have reduced our emissions by more than 1,600 tons between 2021–2024, equivalent to the carbon absorbed by over 88,000 trees.

• Machinery electrification: 100% of forklifts purchased between 2023 and 2024 were electric models.

• Local suppliers: over 76% of our critical supply (wood, metal carpentry, finishes and hardware) is handled through a local network*, contributing to lower transport-related emissions and supporting the local economy.

* Consolidated internal logistics and supply data for the Mesía and Ordes facilities, updated as of 2024. .
Reuse

We promote reuse and the minimisation of paper consumption. We prioritise digital formats and print only when strictly necessary.

When printing is needed, we use recycled paper for internal documents and photocopy on both sides.

Repair

Our Maintenance and Production Department prioritises repair over the full replacement of equipment and machinery.

Renew

We maintain and update our equipment, machinery and tools to keep them fully functional, or we repurpose them for other tasks where they can still add value, prolonging their useful life.

Recover

We recover, whenever possible, used wood and solid surface materials, reintroducing them into the production process to create new products or packaging materials.

Recycle

We recycle cardboard, plastic, metals, wood offcuts and shavings, collaborating with authorised managers to ensure they are correctly reintroduced into the production cycle.

In 2022, our recycling efforts included:

  • • 40,840 kg of cardboard
  • • 5,168 kg of plastic
  • • 68,050 kg of metal waste
  • • 644,900 kg of wood offcuts
  • • 666 m³ of wood shavings

We add our own R for Responsability Ramón García

People are at the heart of effective environmental management. We foster environmental practices across our team by sharing best practices through workshops, guides, protocols and customised recommendations.

We also use responsibly sourced raw materials. Carpintería Ramón García is a member of the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) and the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).

Likewise, we encourage the use of more responsible packaging materials:

  • Replacing corner protectors with cardboard and eco foam, and bubble wrap rolls with recycled versions.
  • All labels purchased are FSC®.
  • Use of recycled cardboard and replacement of plastics with materials that contain a higher percentage of recycled content.
