Parrillada O Rancho is entering a new era, relocating from the centre of Ordes to an iconic 18th century building. Once serving as an inn for travellers journeying between Santiago and A Coruña, this historic site later hosted renowned restaurants, including the legendary 'O Mesón de Deus'.

Now, thanks to the vision of Grupo Ramón García and RGS Europe, the building’s historic charm has been revitalised with both a fresh design and unique ambience that elevate the Parrillada O Rancho dining experience.

THE CHALLENGE: ACHIEVING A BALANCED DESIGN

Capturing the timeless charm of an 18th century inn

This project is all about honouring and highlighting the unique architectural features of this iconic building.

The work centres around the interior layout, custom joinery and exclusive furniture, with a strong focus on natural materials. The bar area with seating, two dining rooms, and an open grill kitchen are designed to delight diners eager to savour the authentic flavours of the region.

The beauty of the wood is complemented by the rustic, authentic touch of the stone masonry walls, highlighting the building’s uniqueness and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

THE MAIN ATTRACTION

Where tradition meets innovation

Each element in the space is thoughtfully designed to create a captivating blend of tradition and innovation, drawing on the unique spirit of this 18th century building.

Highlights include the tiled bar, oak panelling on the dining rooms walls and ceilings, and the exclusive furniture in the main grill area. The divider cabinet, adorned with handcrafted ceramic pieces, adds a traditional touch that enriches the atmosphere.

The carefully crafted lighting enhances the design, honouring the historic legacy of the building.
