This 25 September marks eleven years since the adoption of the 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). To mark the anniversary, Grupo Ramón García is once again taking part in SDG Flag Day, the international campaign bringing organisations together under #TogetherForTheSDGs, promoted in Spain by UN Global Compact Network Spain. Colleagues from our Ordes and Mesía sites are joining the initiative by raising the SDG flag.

Our parent company, Carpintería Ramón García, has been a participant in the UN Global Compact since 2014, prior to the adoption of the 2030 Agenda.

A commitment reflected in our operations

Our participation in SDG Flag Day highlights a longstanding commitment backed by tangible action across environmental, industrial and social areas.

Environmental management, materials and supply chain

Carpintería Ramón García holds ISO 14001 certification for environmental management, as well as chain-of-custody certifications that enable the traceability of certified timber to be verified.

Environmental responsibility also extends to the supply chain: 100% of suppliers whose activities have an environmental impact and who work with Carpintería Ramón García are screened and assessed against specific environmental criteria.

Across our industrial facilities, energy efficiency measures include solar panels at the Ordes plant, together with LED lighting and presence detectors at both factories.

People, employment and community

Carpintería Ramón García has an occupational health and safety management system certified to ISO 45001. Employee wellbeing, prevention and engagement with the local community also form part of this work.

In June 2026, Grupo Ramón García reported that its industrial operations account for nearly 400 direct jobs in Galicia. Alongside the recruitment of specialist technical professionals, the Group runs RG Impulse, its new talent programme, which includes internships and Dual Vocational Training (FP Dual). The 2026–2028 intake includes training in collaboration with IES de Melide and CIFP Politécnico de Santiago.
